Q Health Connections actively identifies community health needs and develops strategically proactive initiatives. These initiatives aim to improve health literacy and help prepare young people and adults to become successful, responsible and healthy citizens.

Physical Activity and Nutrition Programs


Step to It Programs
  • Step to It Southside – A fun weekly walking program designed to engage community members of all ages and ability levels in taking the first step to becoming healthy and physically fit. Nutritious snacks and beverages are provided. Each member receives a pedometer and tracking log.
  • Step to It Challenge – A 6-week challenge which encourages members to form teams with friends, family and co-workers and work towards becoming more physically active and nutritionally aware. Our most recent Challenge had 1,500 participants whose activity equaled walking around the world 3.5 times.
