Driving Healthcare and Patient Outcomes to a New Level

Q Health Clinical Intelligence combines the power of evidence-based practice, clinical decision support, and knowledge management with the use of technology to drive healthcare and patient outcomes to a new level. The ability to identify clinically relevant data enables changes in healthcare treatment patterns and quality of care improvement.

Southside Community Health Services' (SCHS) Quality Improvement consisted of manual processing of chart audits, billing codes, and databases in the past. With the knowledge that the use of technology drives quality improvement and disease management efforts, SCHS purchased a new Electronic Practice Management (EPM) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system in 2007. Today, EPM and EMR have been implemented in all of our clinics, bringing us closer to our goal of becoming fully chartless.

Some of the various goals include imbedding evidence-based guidelines and clinical decision support into the EMR. In June of 2009, we implemented a lab interface which will streamline lab orders and results. The ability to manage and ascertain valid and reliable methods for the collection, analysis, and reporting of data improves through the proper use of EMR. Managing this knowledge accurately drives health care and patient outcomes.
